Zweigle’s Crockpot Green Bean Casserole

It may still be August, but would it be wrong if we said Thanksgiving dinner is already on our minds? While our easy crockpot green bean casserole is certainly tasty enough for any time of the year, now is the perfect time to begin testing recipes if you’re planning on hosting. Why stress later when you can nail down the menu now? Regardless of any upcoming holidays though, this recipe is way too delicious to pass up.   • 2 cans green beans
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 Zweigle’s Italian chicken sausages, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 can french fried onions


  1. In a slow cooker, combine green beans, cream of mushroom soup, sharp cheddar cheese, and Italian chicken sausage.
  2. Stir in milk, combining mixture thoroughly.
  3. Cook on high for one hour, or until cheese has melted.
  4. Serve, topping with french fried onions as desired.
