Healthy & Easy Zweigle’s Chicken Sausage Soup
The temps are cooling down here in Rochester, and there’s only one way to truly celebrate. Turn on the fireplace, grab a mug, and whip up a bowl of something delicious.
If you’re still searching for the perfect warm dish to curl up with in the cold weather though, don’t worry. This week, we’re sharing a quick and easy recipe that’s a bit on the lighter side. Go ahead, enjoy all that Zweigle’s flavor along with the satisfaction that comes with eating something that’s good for you!
1 sweet onion
Handful baby kale
8 cherry tomatoes
32 oz low sodium chicken broth
1 cup water
Sprinkle onion powder
Sprinkle garlic powder
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
This recipe makes about four servings.
- Dice onion and place in pot on medium heat, stirring often.
- Once onion has softened, add chicken broth, water, kale, cherry tomatoes (diced), and spices.
- Thinly slice Zweigle’s All Natural Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausages and add to pot.
- Bring broth to a simmer and leave on heat until all ingredients are cooked through.
