We don’t want to speak too soon, but it seems like the harsh Rochester weather might be gone for good this season. It’s about time, right? We sure couldn’t be happier to see clear skies on the forecast lately, especially with Memorial Day right around the corner! That means it’s time to open the pool and break out your grills, friends. The summer season is (almost) officially here, and we’re ready to celebrate it to the fullest. If you’re anything like us, you’re probably already gearing up for your annual Memorial Day picnics and barbecues. Luckily for you, we’ve rounded up a few of our best tips to make your holiday memorable this Memorial Day:

Plan an Unbeatable Menu

Memorial Day doesn’t have to be glamorous, or a ton of work if you’re hosting. For many, it’s simply a day to get outdoors and enjoy the warm weather with friends and family. Take your party to the next level though by stocking up on the best foods and snacks and preparing an unbeatable menu. You don’t need to spend all day in the kitchen, but make sure you’ve got plenty of Zweigle’s Pop Opens on hand, as well as a variety of snacks and beverages for the kids. What’s not to love about that?

Do Your Spring Cleaning

Memorial Day is the first big holiday of the season, so don’t forget to get your spring cleaning in check! Items like lawn chairs, pool floats, and patio furniture are likely to have collected some dust over the winter. Take the time to get everything organized and replace anything that may have broken or deteriorated since last summer.

Stock Up On Supplies

Not only will you want to spend some time evaluating your summer furniture and other equipment, but you also may need to stock up on new supplies. Items like sunscreen, bug spray, and extra propane are always good to have on hand for the holidays. Even if you don’t end up using them during your Memorial Day celebration, they’re sure to earn their keep during the rest of the summer.

Grab Some Games

If you’re lucky enough to own a pool, we’ve got a pretty good guess as to where your guests are going to be hanging out all day. That being said, it’s never a bad idea to stock up on some lawn games and other entertainment. Party goers love options! Some of our favorite ideas lately include giant jenga, cornhole, ladder ball, and of course Kan Jam.

Are you Memorial Day ready? Have you stocked up on Zweigle’s yet for your next family cookout?
