No matter how you choose to celebrate the holidays, there’s no denying that there’s something special about this time of the year. Cherishing the company of old friends and new, embracing the excitement of gift giving, and of course relishing the delicious dishes at each and every holiday party are just a few of our favorite ways to enjoy the season. Though we take good food pretty seriously around here, the art of a great beverage does not go forgotten either. The two are pretty much inseparable, and both can enhance and complement each other seamlessly.

With so many delicious Zweigle’s products to feast on this season, it’s only natural for us to provide you with a list of holiday beverages to pair with your favorite Zweigle’s meals (don’t forget to check out our recipe library for some inspiration!). Here are a few thought starters:

  1. Eggnog

Eggnog is one of the most classic beverages and is perfect to enjoy with holiday appetizers and/or desserts. Spiked or kid friendly, it’s delicious nonetheless! Pair it with Zweigle’s bacon wrapped hot dog bites for a heavenly pre-dinner snack.

  1. Hot Chocolate

Though hot chocolate may sound more like a dessert beverage than one that’s suited to pair with a Zweigle’s, we think it’s the perfect campfire treat. Use the flames to roast the perfect campfire dog and pair with this sweet treat. It’s the best combo, and it’s sure to keep you warm…especially if you’re enduring the cold Rochester winter like us!

  1. Sparkling Grape Juice

Contrary to popular belief, sparkling grape juice is not just for the kiddos! Though it’s common to serve this sweet, carbonated beverage to underage guests, we promise it’s tasty enough to satisfy friends and family of all ages. It also pairs well with lots of appetizers, which makes it perfect for any upcoming holiday parties.

  1. Glühwein

To finish off this tasty roundup, we couldn’t resist adding glühwein to the list. Glühwein, a classic holiday beverage in Germany, is a type of mulled wine that makes the perfect hearty beverage on any cold winter night. There are tons of variations of this classic drink to try, but we’re sure no recipe could disappoint!
